To ensure security and fairness, various technological advancements were made which enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of online gambling. Among these technological advancements are software that tracks the behavior of players, and identifies the gambling activities of individuals in real time. Software also allows the collection of statistics which can provide valuable information for the enforcement of anti-gambling legislation.
The Internet continues to be a major part of online gambling. The Internet has allowed an unprecedented amount of creativity and development in terms of online gambling. It is not uncommon to find a website which offers both live and pre-recorded roulette and blackjack games, as well as a variety of betting products such as soccer balls, lottery tickets, bingo, ebooks and virtual chips. Many states have taken action against these websites, claiming that they are facilitating gambling. In the case of the United States, the states have passed laws that ban the transfer or gambling of certain online gambling devices.
Internet gambling is currently under the scrutiny of two pieces of legislation. The First State Gaming Commission Act, which regulate the operation of casinos in twelve states including New Jersey, and the U.S. Department of Justice, which are reviewing proposed U.S. laws to regulate online gambling. The second piece of legislation regulating online 온라인 도박 is the Wire Act, which was introduced in congress in February of 2006 and currently awaits Senate confirmation. The U.S. House of Representatives is considering the first piece of legislation and the Senate is debating the second piece of legislation.
